Original Mosrite Mark V The Ventures!

Yes, an original Mosrite......Not a copy, not a reissue, etc.   Original 60s.  Some folks think The Ventures or The Ramones, either way this thing will surf or snarl.  Not perfect (like most of our stuff) but in great original player condition ---- the only way to fly!!

Nice attic find for a cool college kid

This pre CBS Jaguar came to us from a lucky young fella. His uncle had bought it back in the 70s and fortunately put it away......It survived the 80s without being "modded"!  Fast forward to another era and here we are. Minor adjustment here and there, add a mustang bridge, and it's ready to catch a wave!

Familiar but a 'lil bit different Gretsch

At first glance you may not notice the most unique feature of this eye catching Gretsch........those pickups.

Not the familiar humbucker usually present on these hollowbodies  --- big single coils.  Dynasonics.  Same pickups as used by George Harrison (albeit in a different guitar).  Also used by a fella named Chet.  All that aside, this guitar rocks.  Yes --- it's a reissue.

Please Do NOT Refinish Guitars

Here we have a wonderful guitar from the 30s.  A holy grail of sorts -- especially for some folks.  Pre War Martins and Gibsons (and others, too) are among the most sought after and valuable guitars.  I don't plan on setting off a debate on this issue -- suffice it to say there is a reason.

Instead of captioning every photo, I have one simple statement to make......Please, please, pretty please STOP refinishing guitars.  No reason is good enough, just don't do it.  Consider what this guitar would be worth if someone had not "freshened it up to look like new"...............
